The role of the Business Development Representative (BDR) is focused on generating new business opportunities by identifying, researching, and qualifying potential clients for a newly formed Commercial plumbing division.  The position will book outbound leads, retain accuracy in data entry, provide stellar Customer Service, be able to answer general inquiries, and to assist Field Staff when necessary. 

This person must be independent, reliable, and self-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced service environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Generation: Identifying and researching new leads or prospects that align with the company’s target market.
  • Outreach: Conduct outbound business-to-business (B2B) prospecting calls to initiate high-quality, consultative prospecting conversations via cold calls, emails, texts and other multi-channel approaches to introduce the company and gauge interest.
  • Qualification: Develop and nurture leads to generate and qualify multiple pipeline opportunities for new business that aligns with the company’s solutions, leading to a long-term partnership.
  • Identification: Determine who the appropriate decision maker is. 
  • Connection: Schedule introductory / discovery calls.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with management to ensure a smooth transition to the service team.
  • Documentation: Accurately record all customer interactions in Service Titan software system.

Compensation:

  • $16.50 per hour guaranteed base
  • $15.00 per appointment booked
  • $5.00 residual per completion and payment of subsequent service work.

  • Resilience: Patience and persistence in handling objections and rejection from potential clients.
  • Research Skills: Diligence in researching potential companies and their needs to tailor outreach.
  • Goal-Oriented: A drive to achieve targets and contribute to the company’s growth in a results-driven environment. 
  • Experience: Plumbing industry and B2B a plus.  Prior call center experience preferred but not required.
  • Authorization: To work in the U.S.
 

Minimum Key Performance Indicators: 

  • Calls made per working hour (20). 
  • Follow-ups are conducted per customer until contact is established (3).
  • Booking rate of contacted clients (7%).
